INDICATION

Zeegap 150mg Cap is a gabapentinoid indicated for neuropathic pain, partial-onset seizures, fibromyalgia, and generalized anxiety disorder. The 150mg dose is the standard maintenance dose for most neuropathic pain indications and the starting dose for the maximum neuropathic pain dose range.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

At 150mg, pregabalin provides a higher level of alpha-2-delta subunit blockade, reducing excitatory neurotransmitter release more effectively than lower doses. The 150mg twice-daily dose (300mg/day) is the minimum effective dose recommended for post-herpetic neuralgia and the typical dose for diabetic neuropathic pain. For fibromyalgia and GAD, clinical trials have shown 150mg twice daily to produce meaningful pain relief and anxiolysis.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      Neuropathic pain: 150mg twice daily (300mg/day) as the starting maintenance dose

•      May increase to 300mg twice daily (600mg/day) if tolerated and additional efficacy is needed

•      Reduce dose in proportion to creatinine clearance in renal impairment

•      Always follow the dosage prescribed by your neurologist or pain specialist

SIDE EFFECTS
