INDICATION

Tagipmet XR 50/1000mg Tab is an extended-release fixed-dose combination of sitagliptin 50mg and metformin 1000mg indicated for type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults with moderate renal impairment who need the lower sitagliptin dose or in patients requiring once-daily dosing as part of their overall diabetes management plan.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The 50mg sitagliptin dose provides DPP-4 inhibition appropriate for patients with moderate renal impairment where the 100mg dose requires reduction, while maintaining meaningful incretin augmentation and glucose-dependent insulin secretion enhancement. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      Adults: 1 tablet once daily with the evening meal

•      Preferred for patients with moderate renal impairment (CrCl 30 to 50 ml/min)

SIDE EFFECTS
