INDICATION

Pregnovit Tab is a comprehensive prenatal multivitamin and mineral supplement formulated to meet the increased nutritional demands of pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nutritional deficiencies during pregnancy, including folic acid deficiency (to prevent neural tube defects), iron-deficiency anemia, and calcium and vitamin D insufficiency.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Folic acid supports DNA synthesis and prevents neural tube defects by ensuring adequate methyl donors for homocysteine remethylation and purine synthesis during critical periods of fetal neural development. Iron maintains maternal hemoglobin and supports fetal oxygen delivery. Calcium and vitamin D3 provide the mineral substrate and hormonal regulation needed for fetal skeletal development. Iodine supports thyroid hormone synthesis critical for fetal neurological development. Vitamins B6 and B12 support neurological development, red blood cell formation, and energy metabolism. Together, these nutrients address the full spectrum of increased gestational nutritional requirements.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      1 tablet once daily throughout pregnancy and the postpartum breastfeeding period
