INDICATION

Keplin 7.5mg Tab is a medical-grade active folate supplement indicated for the treatment and prevention of folate deficiency, particularly in patients who cannot adequately convert folic acid to its active form due to MTHFR gene mutations. MECHANISM OF ACTION

Unlike folic acid, it does not require conversion by the enzyme methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) and is therefore effective in patients with MTHFR polymorphisms who cannot metabolize folic acid. L-Methyl folate serves as a key methyl donor in the synthesis of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine by supporting the conversion of homocysteine to methionine and the production of tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), a critical cofactor for monoamine neurotransmitter synthesis.
