INDICATION

Fleet Plus 75+75mg Tab is a dual antiplatelet combination used for the prevention and management of serious cardiovascular and atherothrombotic events. It is indicated for the prevention of cardiovascular events, management of acute coronary syndrome, prevention of stent thrombosis following coronary stenting, reduction of stroke and heart attack risk, management of peripheral artery disease, and reduction of mortality in patients with a prior history of myocardial infarction. The combination provides superior platelet inhibition through dual and complementary mechanisms of action.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Clopidogrel inhibits ADP-mediated platelet aggregation via blockade of the P2Y12 receptor, while aspirin irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), preventing the synthesis of thromboxane A2. Together, they deliver broad-spectrum platelet inhibition through two distinct pathways, offering enhanced protection against thrombotic events.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      Take as prescribed by your physician

•      Complete therapy as directed; do not discontinue abruptly

Proton pump inhibitors, particularly omeprazole, may reduce clopidogrel efficacy. Strong CYP2C19 inhibitors may also impair clopidogrel activation.
