INDICATION
Fleet 75mg Tab is an antiplatelet medication used to prevent harmful blood clots in patients at high risk of cardiovascular events. It is indicated for the prevention of heart attacks and strokes in patients with acute coronary syndrome, peripheral artery disease, a history of recent myocardial infarction, or ischemic stroke. Fleet 75mg is also used alongside aspirin after coronary stent placement to prevent stent thrombosis and in patients with unstable angina to reduce the risk of further cardiac complications. It serves as a cornerstone therapy in long-term cardiovascular protection.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Clopidogrel is a prodrug metabolized by the CYP2C19 enzyme to its active form. It selectively inhibits the binding of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to the platelet P2Y12 receptor, preventing ADP-mediated activation of the GPIIb/IIIa complex and thereby inhibiting platelet aggregation and clot formation.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
• Take as prescribed by your physician
• Usual dose: 75mg once daily with or without food
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
• Take at the same time each day for consistent results
• Do not stop without consulting your doctor
SIDE EFFECTS
• Easy bruising
• Prolonged bleeding
• Headache

• Itching or skin rash
• Serious bleeding (rare but life-threatening)
NOT RECOMMENDED IN

DRUG INTERACTIONS
