INDICATION

D-Rich Drop is indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin D deficiency in infants, children, and adults. It is used in the management of rickets, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, and hypocalcemia due to Vitamin D insufficiency.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) is a fat-soluble vitamin that undergoes two-step hydroxylation in the liver and kidneys to form calcitriol, its active form. Calcitriol binds to Vitamin D receptors in the intestines, kidneys, and bones, increasing calcium and phosphorus absorption, promoting bone mineralization, and regulating parathyroid hormone levels.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

·        Infants up to 1 year: 1 drop daily or as directed by a physician.

·        Children above 1 year and adults: 2 to 4 drops daily or as prescribed.

·        Use the dropper provided for accurate dosing.

·        Administer directly into the mouth or mix with a small amount of food or liquid.

·        Do not exceed the recommended dose without medical supervision.

SIDE EFFECTS

Common:
