CELLS-UP SYRUP ONLINE AT BEST PRICE IN PAKISTAN
GENERIC: Carica Papaya Leaves Extract 500mg/5ml Syrup
MANUFACTURER: SOIS Pharma (Pvt) Ltd
QUANTITY:
120ml per bottle
INDICATION
Cells-Up Syrup is an herbal preparation containing Carica Papaya Leaves Extract indicated for the management of thrombocytopenia (low platelet count) associated with dengue fever and other febrile illnesses causing platelet suppression. It is used to support platelet recovery, reduce the severity and duration of thrombocytopenia, and help prevent dengue-related hemorrhagic complications. It is also used as an adjunctive supportive therapy in other conditions associated with reduced platelet production or increased platelet destruction.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Each 5ml of Cells-Up Syrup contains Carica Papaya Leaves Extract 500mg. The leaves of Carica papaya contain bioactive phytochemicals including acetogenins, alkaloids, flavonoids, and papain-related compounds. In dengue-associated thrombocytopenia, papaya leaf extract is believed to stimulate platelet production by promoting thrombopoiesis through activation of platelet progenitor cells (megakaryocytes) in the bone marrow. The extract also inhibits dengue viral replication through its antiviral phytochemical constituents and reduces oxidative stress and inflammatory damage to megakaryocytes.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
• Adults: 10ml (1000mg Carica Papaya Leaves Extract) two to three times daily
• Children: 5ml (500mg) two to three times daily as directed by a pediatrician
• Best taken with or after meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort
• Continue for the duration advised by your doctor; platelet count should be monitored regularly during dengue illness
SIDE EFFECTS
Common:
• Mild nausea or stomach discomfort if taken on an empty stomach
• Mild gastrointestinal upset including loose stools
• Bitter taste (characteristic of papaya leaf extract)
• Mild abdominal discomfort
Less common:
• Allergic reaction in individuals sensitive to papaya or the Caricaceae plant family
• Mild Hypoglycaemia in diabetic patients at high doses (papaya leaf has mild hypoglycemic properties)
NOT RECOMMENDED IN
• Known hypersensitivity to papaya or any ingredient in the formulation
• Pregnancy: papaya leaf extract has uterotonic properties and is contraindicated during pregnancy
• Patients on anticoagulant therapy without monitoring (papaya leaf may enhance anticoagulant effects)
• Not a substitute for hospitalization and medical management in severe dengue hemorrhagic fever or dengue shock syndrome
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Carica papaya leaf extract may enhance the anticoagulant effect of warfarin and antiplatelet drugs through additive effects on platelet function; monitor INR and bleeding time if combined. The mild hypoglycemic activity of papaya leaf may have additive effects with antidiabetic medications including insulin and oral hypoglycemics; monitor blood glucose closely.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Shake well before use. Keep tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
