INDICATION

Adrenaline Inj is an emergency injectable medication used to treat severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), acute asthma attacks, and cardiac arrest. It acts rapidly to restore blood pressure, open airways, and reverse life-threatening allergic symptoms caused by insect stings, foods, medications, or other triggers.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Epinephrine acts as a non-selective alpha- and beta-adrenergic agonist. It stimulates alpha receptors in blood vessels to constrict them, raising blood pressure. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      Repeat every 5 to 15 minutes if symptoms do not improve

Patients using cardiac glycosides such as digoxin face a higher risk of arrhythmias when given epinephrine.
