INDICATION

2Blink Eye Drop 15ml is a lubricating eye drop indicated for the relief of dry eye symptoms, including ocular dryness, irritation, burning, and grittiness. It is suitable for patients with mild to moderate dry eye disease, computer vision syndrome, and those experiencing reduced tear production due to environmental factors such as air conditioning, prolonged screen time, or wind exposure. It may also be used to soothe eyes after contact lens removal or following minor ocular procedures.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Polyethylene glycol 400 and propylene glycol are viscosity-enhancing agents that mimic the mucin and aqueous components of the natural tear film. They form a protective, lubricating layer over the ocular surface by adsorbing to the corneal and conjunctival epithelium, reducing friction during blinking and protecting against desiccation. Propylene glycol also helps retain moisture on the ocular surface by reducing evaporation from the tear film. Together, these agents restore tear film stability, reduce ocular surface damage from dryness, and relieve associated discomfort without blurring vision.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      Instil 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, up to 4 times daily or as directed by your ophthalmologist

•      Remove contact lenses before instilling; wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting

•      Tilt the head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid, and Instil the drop into the lower conjunctival sac

•      Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination; recap tightly after each use

SIDE EFFECTS

Common:

•      Transient mild burning or stinging immediately after instillation

•      Temporary blurred vision for a few seconds after use

•      Mild eye redness

•      Sticky sensation around the eyelid

Less common:

•      Allergic conjunctivitis in individuals sensitive to any excipient

•      Eye discharge in sensitive individuals

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Topical ocular lubricants such as 2Blink Eye Drop have no clinically significant pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic drug interactions. Avoid using with contact lens solutions containing benzalkonium chloride in the same eye simultaneously.
